Congrats to CT Bombers White 16-U!

The team competed in their third and final Fall tournament the weekend of October 18 & 19. The event was the USSSA Pumpkin Smash in Southington CT.

Pool Play saw a 11-8 win over the TC Futures12 - Tobin, that was followed by a 8-3 victory over the RI Thunder Gold CT 14U before concluding with a tough fought 6-4 loss to the RI Thunder Gold CT 16U.

The 2-1 record earned the team the #3 seed and a bye to the semi-finals where they faced the #2 seeded Empire State Huskies whom they dispatched with an 8-3 victory. This set up a rematch with the #1 seeded RI Thunder Gold CT 16U. A new day saw new results with the CT Bombers White winning by a 15-5 Margin. The game was shortened due to the 10 run Mercy Rule!

A very nice 4-1 Championship weekend.

Nice Job Ladies!

The CT Bombers White 16-U played in the October 4-5 Meriden Fall Fast Pitch Frenzy. A well-stocked 8 team event. Saturday's Pool Play did not go nearly as planned with a 14-8 loss to the L I Intensity, a 3-0 loss to the Lady Fury, and a 13-12 loss to Rapids Softball Orange. The disappointing 0-3 record, allowing a ton of runs, earned the team the #7 seed for Sundays playdown bracket.

Sunday was a different day to be sure. It started with a 6-4 victory over the #2 seeded Diamond Zone 2028, followed by a 9-8 win over the #3 seeded Southington Thunder in the semi-finals. The Finals concluded with an 8-0 loss to the #1 seeded Lady Fury. Still, what a change in attitude, effort, and desire from one day to the next.

A well-earned Second Place finish from a very resilient team!
